Summer Hiking
Adventurous Snow hikes with snows hoes are possible as well as comfortable strolls along one of the many snow ways starting from the house. In the house, you will find many maps that give you an overview of these hikes and snow ways
Gerolds Garten
Starting in front of the house, you find over 100km of prepared langlauf and skating slopes. Off-piste cross country skiing is possible throughout the region (guided tours are possible in group or with a private guide)
"Badi gehen"
In Summer, you have the choice between challenging hikes up to 2700 meters, rock climbing on the Dachstein, Mountain (e-)biking or Grint cycling on one of the many pre-configured routes (high quality cycles available for rent in the area) or you can choose a relaxing walk or run on one of the trails around the house
Christmas markets
The Ski-Pass of Ski Amadé gives you access to 760 km of ski slopes of which you can see over 100 km from the living room window. These are reachable by Skibus in 10' (Skilift in Hochwurzen). For the beginners, we recommend the Rittisberg Slopes (5' by car)
City trips to Rapperswil, Luzern, Baden less than 1 hour away
If you are ready for some culture, both Salzburg and Hallstadt or only an hour away by car. In Summer, Salzburg offers daily music concerts in its beautiful Mirabella park, famous from the "Sound of Music"
Opernhaus
Both in Summer and Winter, the Gletscher offers an experience of itself with guided off-piste skiing possibilities, snow hikes, climbing, or just for a coffee in the restaurant with a panoramic 360° view on the surrounding mountains
